Getting involved goes beyond filling a time slot because God has gifted each of us to do certain things well. Things that we can enjoy and take pride in – and things that help other people connect with Him.
So what it is that you do well? Work with kids? Connect with the elderly? Prepare meals? Minister to the homeless? Or maybe you’re an organizer or simply enjoy working behind the scenes. Whatever it is, we’d love to find a place for you to participate in helping our community and sharing God’s love.
Here’s how to start:
1. Let’s get acquainted. Download our volunteer application, activity release form (or activity release for minors), and email, fax, or mail it to us.
2. Learn the basics by attending an orientation session. Check our calendar or contact our Program Assistant for dates and times.
3. Find which of our outreach ministries fits you best. You can learn more about these ministries at our volunteer orientation or by contacting our Program Assistant.
4. Jump in! Check our weekly calendar for opportunities to get started.
" I volunteer with the South Sound Dream Center because relationships are what people need. Having positive relationships builds up people in hard times, provides them with resources to rely on and gives them a better quality of life. Most importantly, it allows people to really see into your life as a Christian. God moves through these relationships to heal and save people. "
